If you sell products online, especially if you're a militaria dealer, Google Shopping can be a great way to get your items in front of people. This article explains what Google Shopping is, why it is useful, and how we can help you get set up with as little stress as possible.
Google Shopping is the part of Google that shows real products directly in search results. When someone types something like "vintage silver brooch" or "antique oak table" into Google, items from Google Shopping often appear and these may appear above the normal listings. Google Shopping listings aren't just links and include a picture of the item, the price, name of it, etc.

To get your items listed in Google Shopping, you give Google a product feed (unless you want to do it one item at a time, which would be rather dull and time consuming). This feed is simply a list of your items and their details, such as images, prices and descriptions. Google uses this to show your products to people who are searching.
There are two ways your products can appear in Google Shopping:
Google can show your items without you paying for each click, as long as your product feed meets the quality rules.
These are paid placements that appear in prominent positions. You pay for each click. They can be a very effective form of advertising if you choose to use them.
You do not have to use the paid option. Many small businesses start with the free listings and decide later if they want to invest in paid ads.
1. You can reach people who are ready to buy
Because shoppers see a picture, price and short description before they click, the people who come through to your website are usually more serious about buying. They already know what the item looks like and how much it costs.
2. Better visibility for your products
Google Shopping puts your items in front of people who are actively searching for something similar. That means more of the right eyes on your stock.
3. Automatic updates
If your product feed is connected correctly, Google will have an up to date list of all the items on your website. When something sells or changes price, Google also has the updated information in the feed.
